His house had iTalkBB home phone service, which is required for AIjia's one-touch E911 feature, and a camera facing the garage. Maya asked him to stay where he was and opened the camera view on her phone. Someone was inside the garage, trying the door into the house. Maya tapped E911 in the AIjia app and told the operator her father was still inside. The registered home address was provided with the call. She also warned her brother not to go to the garage to investigate.
The pendant gave her father a way to reach Maya without stopping to find his phone. The camera showed her what was happening at the other end of the house.
